Post Listing Update: This R1M did not meet reserve despite 24 bids up to $18,100 on eBay in Stuart, Florida.

The Yamaha R1M is the closest thing to a race rep that Yamaha has put out in many years – and 2019 was the last year of the debut model – 2020 brings some updates (Euro 5 emissions, ride-by-wire that uses magnetic sensors instead of cables, recalibrated electronics, upgraded suspension) and a $3,000+ price increase to above $26k. Here’s one of the few 2019 models sold and it has just 300 miles.

For more information, check out this ‘First Ride” from Cycle World, where they have the following to say:

“Make no mistake, the 2015 R1 is a game changer. Instead of making a great streetbike that was also capable of race-winning track performances, these brand-new machines were designed to excel on the track first, while also maintaining good street manners. What makes the R1 stand out isn’t the brand-new engine, chassis or styling, which we’ll talk more about later, but the outstanding electronics suite controlled by Yamaha’s proprietary six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit that allows the rider to get the most out of the bike’s performance.”

The main visual difference is the livery that shows off the carbon fiber, but the main functional difference is the electronic Ohlins suspension, which is one of the nicest units I’ve had the pleasure of sampling myself.

The seller of this example (VIN: JYRN40E7KA000856) doesn’t have much to say, beyond the fact that it has 300 miles. Find this R1M for sale in Stuart, Florida with bidding up to $15,100 and the reserve not yet met here on eBay.
