Buried somewhere in the long list of questions I never thought I’d ask myself is “how much is a basically-new Yamaha TW200 worth?” Looks like we’re about to find out.
The TW has basically been the same since 2001, when Yamaha implemented some updates like a front disc brake, CV carb, stronger alternator, and other minor changes to bring the bike into the 90s (such as removing the kickstarter). Slow progress is still progress, right? The specs aren’t really relevant here, I’m just fascinated to see so much action on a 5 year old TW200 – with 3 and a half days to go, there are 43 bids!
This example (VIN: JYA3AWC00DA138349) has just 78 miles and it’s being offered by the original owner. He says he bought it for his wife to ride, and she lost interest in it. This would be a fun play bike but I don’t think it’ll be a bargain by the time this auction is over. Find this TW for sale in Duarte, California with bidding up to $3,050
