Based out of Sandy, Utah, Blue Collar Bobbers produces bolt on kits to give people an easy way to customize their bike “into an old school, nostalgic hot rod.” Here’s a Kawasaki Ninja 250 that’s equipped with the BCB Cafe Racer kit (no longer available new).
It’s an interesting concept for people who don’t have the time, tools, or skill to create a full-blown custom – just buy a kit that fits your bike and bolt it on. Some of you may also be familiar with Ryca Motors (no longer in business), who offered similar concepts for the Suzuki Savage and Harley-Davidson Sportster. The Ninja kit is sold as “a complete cafe racer in two large boxes,” and it includes aluminum fenders and bodywork, lighting, CNC’d gauge housing for the sock instruments), seat, Shinko front tire, and a DVD installation guide.
This example has 16k miles and a few upgrades beyond the BCB kit: Barnett clutch pack, Factory Pro jet kit, wrapped exhaust, EBC brake pads, and links to raise the height for taller riders.
