Bosozoku – 1981 Honda CB400T

In Custom, Japan by AbhiLeave a Comment

Built by Good Call Works, this bosozuku bike (a subculture of Japanese motorcycling which translates to “violent running tribe”) definitely offers one way to get noticed on your next ride!

The customization aspects of bosozoku are usually about taking a UJM and combining aspects of cafe racers and choppers, like dustbin fairings and ape hangers. Crazy paint jobs and extremely long upswept exhaust pipes are often the norm. Return of the Cafe Racers shares a bit of history here if you’re interested in learning more.

This example features Beringer brakes (master, rotor, and even a 6-pot caliper), shibori handlebars from Pretty Racing, SEV Marchal headlight, Inoue Rocket fairing, and even a bluetooth megaphone. If you want to hear what it sounds like through the more analog exhaust, you can hear a clip below:

Seeing how much custom work has been put into this, it’s odd that the seller says the “only cons on this bike are the lack of speedo cable ($10 part) and the bike was knocked over a few months back which scratched (but didn’t crack) the fairing and scuffed part of the brake lever” considering those are mostly quick fixes, but find this Honda for sale in Carson, California for $9,000 here on Facebook Marketplace.
