Built for Baja – 2010 KTM 690 Enduro R

In Austria, Dual-Sport by AbhiLeave a Comment

If yesterday’s KTM factory Dakar racer tickled your fancy but you can’t justify spending over $20k on a non-street-legal bike, here’s a 690 Enduro R that’s been well-prepped for off-road exploration.

The stock 690 Enduro R was already a capable dual-sport (check out this review on Motorcycle-USA for more details) but this bike takes it a couple of steps further thanks to the addition of some choice farkles like a Rally Raid II Evo Kit (fairing and gas tanks), Rekluse clutch, a full Akrapovic exhaust, upgraded front forks, Tractive shock, aftermarket footpegs, Seat COncepts seat, luggage racks, and an extra fuel tank under the seat that yields a total capacity of just over 7 gallons.

The seller blew up the top end on a trip to Baja so he rebuilt it 1,200 miles ago and upgraded the rocker arms in the process. He’s letting his bike go because he’s starting a brewery, and the overall package has about 16,000 miles on it. In his words, “it is not a supermodel, and it has a lot of dings and scratches. That said, I think it’s the prettiest bike I’ve ever owned.”
