The race bike of Thompson Race Team, this Super Single won the 2012 Formula Singles Championship (and placed 2nd in 250 Superbike), then placed 2nd in both championships in 2013. The bike has been lowsided twice on the right side and still shows some cosmetic damage, but it would be a great little racer – 45 horsepower and 240 pounds? …
1958 Ariel Square Four
The Ariel Square Four design goes all the way back to 1931, soon after Edward Turner designed an interesting new four-cylinder motorcycle engine formed from two OHC parallel twins. The design became known as the square four engine, and lent its name to this Ariel motorcycle.
1979 Moto Guzzi 1000SP
One of the better touring bikes in its day, the Moto Guzzi 1000SP Spada typically falls under the radar of some of the more classic Guzzi names. Then again, every once in a while a guy like George Dockray gets his hands on one and then turns it into an absolute beauty.

Project Creep – 1996 Suzuki DR650SE
Take one Suzuki DR650SE, and add an owner who can’t seem to help himself, and you’ve got a project that started as a detail job and ended as a basically new bike. He’s joking, but the seller starts off his listing with “I defy you to show me a bigger waste of money than this 1996 DR650SE.”

Custom Harley Rat Bike
Here’s a crazy custom of a rat bike built with a Redneck Engineering frame around a Buell XB9S engine. There’s a lot of bare metal and a custom seat, but the really interesting things are a fuel tank made out of two air compressor tanks and an oil tank made out of a fire extinguisher. What do you think?

3 Years Brand New – 2012 Aprilia Mana 850 GT
One of Aprilia’s least-known bikes, the Mana featured a 839cc that produced 54 horsepower and…a 7-speed automatic transmission. Unlike the auto found in Honda’s current offerings, though, the Mana features button shifters for your left hand AND the usual foot shifter. 1974 Kawasaki S3 Mach 2
Post-Listing Update: Despite being relisted, this bike did not meet reserve with bidding getting up to $3,051. After Kawi had firmly established the ‘widowmaker’ reputation of the H1 and H2, one might have expected that the smaller displacement variants (S1-S3) would also be similarly hairy. But the S3 was designed to be a better street bike, with slightly lower peak …

Vertemati is not a well known company, but they used to make some very high-strung exotics. Here’s four of those exotics from the 2002 model year so you can start a collection of bikes that are silly fast, very rare, and maintenance-heavy.
