Most custom street fighters you find online are born out of a lazy effort to clean-up a set of thrashed fairings more often than they’re built out of an ambition to purposefully actualize a vision of something cool. This custom Buell however unmistakably falls into that seldom-seen latter-category. This heavily-modded 2003 XB9S has had all kinds of work done to …
1967 Royal Enfield Continental GT
5-23-17 Update: This Continental did not get any action at the BIN of $7,250 a couple of months ago, so it’s now back up for sale in an auction format and we’ll see how the market values it. Find it in Ojai, California with bidding up to $2,125 and the reserve not yet met here on eBay. Royal Enfield claimed …

View PostEnding Soon – 1999 Bimota SB8R
Post Sale Update: This SB8R sold for $9,103 after 21 bids on eBay. I recently featured a SB8R as part of an Italian collection, but this one’s in better shape and the seller is a frequent participant on Bike-urious! Here’s #18 of the 250 built, and it fresh off a showing at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering.
1970 Laverda 750S
Let’s follow-up the Laverda museum from earlier this week with just one bike – but it’s one of the most important models of the marque. The 750S was one of Laverda’s first big bikes, and it was very quickly combined with the 750GT to become the legendary SF line.
1988 Ducati F1 750
First debuted at the 1985 Sydney Motorcycle Exhibition, this road going replica was an instant success. So much so that even the little sibling versions F3 350 and 400 were thrown into production in an attempt to cater to markets with more focus on smaller displacement machines.
Pick a 400 – Yamaha FZR400RR or Suzuki GSX-R 400
A seller in Springville, Utah has got a couple of Japanese 400s that are rarely found in the US – a 1990 Suzuki GSX-R 400 and a 1992 Yamaha FZR400RR. Both bikes rev to at least 14,000 rpm and would be an unique way to carve some corners. Which would you pick?
3 Rare Italians
Pick a decade – we’ve got a bike from the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Two Bimotas and one Laverda are up for grabs from a seller in Central California. Which one would you take home?
Centennial Edition – 2002 Triumph Daytona 955i
Post Sale Update: This Centennial Edition Triumph sold for $2,700 after 8 bids on eBay. Triumph goofed up when they introduced their take on the sports literbike market in 1997. As their new triple was dubbed the “T5” and the motor displaced 955cc, the British manufacturer decided to blend the two names to come up with a model name of …
1986 Honda NS400R
In 1983, Freddie Spencer became the world’s youngest 500cc World Champion, and he did it on a Honda V3. Honda responded by releasing a 250cc production bike to commemorate the win, but it took them until 1985 to build something closer to the actual size of Freddie’s champion. That was the NS400R, and even though it gave up 100cc and …
No Reserve – 1992 Suzuki RGV250
Post Sale Update: This RGV250 sold for $9,019 after 42 bids on eBay. When Suzuki introduced the RGV250, it was a revelation. MCN put it thusly: “back in the day 250cc race replicas were the sharpest handling, most frenzied, maddest things you could buy on two wheels. Nowadays the RGV250 is a modern classic and is probably a bit slower …

View PostEnding Soon – Honda NSR50 or NSR80
That’s right, “or.” This seller is offering you the choice between a NSR80 or a NSR50 Mick Doohan Repsol Commemorative edition. Which one would you pick? I’m sticking with Mick.
2005 Ducati 749R
Post Listing Update: This 749R did not meet reserve despite 28 bids up to $10,100. The styling of Ducati’s 749R was polarizing: it seems like for every person that liked the way it looked, you could find four people who didn’t. But thanks to a slipper clutch, Ohlins suspension, and lower weight (despite a larger fuel tank) than the 749, …
1984 BMW R100CS Last Edition
Post Listing Update: This R100CS got no interest at the opening bid of $4,400. In 1984, BMW sold 75 examples of a “Last Edition” R100CS. The K series had been introduced 2 years before and ze Germans thought it was the future of their product line. So the German firm decided to honor the boxer motor with final run, and …
