Flamethrowers and Cannons – Electric Batpod

Built on a Harley-Davidson V-ROD chassis, this electric motorcycle has been converted to a rigid-frame with no rear suspension. Nearly everything in between the wheels has been removed to make room for the eight Optima bluetop batteries required to power a HPEVS AC-20 electric motor. The final drive system, utilizing a belt like the donor V-ROD, has been configured at a 4.50:1 ratio – the seller claims that this makes the bike capable of a 126 mph top speed. Though most components are H-D based, though the creator has modified parts from other OEMs when necessary. We’re most impressed with the usage of Yamaha components to create the custom braking system required on the front wheel – note that both wheels are actually the rear wheels from a V-ROD.

All that is great, but the parting pieces have nothing to do with the styling or the electric propulsion. This electric batpod features working flamethrowers and 12 gauge cannons! To get around legal issues on eBay, the weapons systems will be disabled for sale, but the required components can be “donated” by the seller, post-sale. The flamethrower uses Argon tanks and extra gasoline, while the cannons are single shot and can fire any 12 gauge cartridge. Instructions on how to use and refill both systems are provided by the seller. The seller is very articulate, and we appreciate the detail included in the ad itself.
