I’ve featured plenty of CB750s over the years, but we have one on the auction site right now that caught my interest because it is a Japanese Domestic Model!
Some changes are obvious – like the speedometer in kilometers or warning stickers in Japanese.
But it also has the red light that I find so amusing – it warns you when you are speeding! This is one of those things that I would love if I was borrowing the bike for a day or two and would hate if I owned it. Simply put, the light would come on to notify the rider that he or she was exceeding the national speed limit for motorcycles in Japan, which I believe was 80 kilometers/hour at the time.
Otherwise, it’s fairly similar to the US-spec bikes, and this example (VIN: CB7501036325) is a relatively clean example that was with the seller for 17 years (unfortunately he passed away so his wife is having us sell his remaining bikes).
