1-3-22 Update: Four years later, this bike is back up for sale with us over at Iconic Motorbikes! It’s up to 433 miles, and the seller is letting it go as he’s fallen in love with the BMW HP4 Race as a track bike. You can find it in Cresson, Texas with bidding up to $55,200 and the reserve already met here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.

Post Listing Update: This Suter did not get any interest at the opening bid of $30,000.

I featured another 2013 Suter Moto2 race bike a year ago, though this one has the pedigree of being ridden by a MotoGP rookie of the year. For mere mortals (as long as you’ve got plenty of extra dough), the usual way into Suter ownership is via the incredible 2-stroke GP bike called the MMX500, but every once in a while a true race machine will make its way into the used market. Here’s one of those rare chances.

The MMX2 was specifically designed for Moto2 with a 600cc 4-stroke motor. Top speed is 180 miles per hour thanks to 129 horsepower and a weight of about 300 pounds. The MMX2 would be quite successful, earning Suter three constructor titles in the first three years after the 2010 Moto2 rule changes regarding displacement. For more on the MMX2, head on over to the Suter website.

The seller of this bike has a hell of a collection – a quick browse through only the first few photos of his Instagram reveals a Yamaha FZR1000 that he just sold, a Husky FE501, Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports, Norton Manx, Ducati 999R, and the Honda NR750 I drooled over at the Handbuilt Show this year! In all he has over 35 bikes and he’s only selling this Moto2 bike because he acquired Pecco Bagnaia’s 2018 test bike from the Sky VR46 team and he only rides that one. He says “I don’t buy a bike I don’t ride.” Good man.

This bike was acquired from Suter and is said to be all original. The motor has a service interval of 2,500 miles and the seller notes that this has 98% of that left before it will need a scheduled service. In addition, Zarco signed the airbox cover at MotoGP in Austin this year.
