Post Sale Update: After 33 bids on eBay, this Flying Brick sold for $4,101.

BMW’s K100 was initially released to very concerned fans who were worried that it was a sign that the boxer motor was going to disappear. Sales were slow at first but the Flying Brick was eventually proven to be a successful endeavor for BMW Motorrad. Here’s an early model from the production run that’s got a rare Krauser fiberglass fairing and front fender. That’s a lot of “F’s”!

This example (VIN: WB1051109F0030268) has 10,977 miles and the seller acquired it four months ago per a post he shared on the K100 Forum – he’s put just 30 miles on it since that time. The seller got this bike in a package deal and his original plan was to restore it to become a daily rider.

With that in mind, he performed a lot of work which included a rebuild of the brake system, Red Kote sealing of the gas tank, installing a new fuel pump, fluid flush, replacing the spark plugs, installing new fuel lines, balancing the throttle bodies, installing new tires, and more. The seller rates it as 7.5/10 cosmetically and 10/10 mechanically. If you want more photos, you can check out the seller’s album here. The bike is just too tall for the seller, so he’s letting it go.
