Over on Iconic we’ve got an engine from one of my favorite 250 2-strokes: the MC21/MC28 generations of the Honda NSR250! It’s for display purposes only and you won’t be able to make it run in a cost-effective manner but I think it’d be an excellent display piece for a two-stroke nut.
I’ve mentioned my buddy Glenn a few times here on Bike-urious – he’s written up a few posts of bikes for sale, loaned me a RZV500 to review, and shared event recaps for us to enjoy like his visit to the Tokyo Motorcycle Show a couple of months ago.
On the side, he has a company called Parc Ferme Moto Art and he’s been creating cool art pieces out of motorcycle parts that are otherwise unusuable – like wall-mounted pieces out of tanks that were too rusty to save:

This is one of two display engines with a stand that he created with the NSR250 dry clutch motor. Glenn says that this was “inspired by the NSR500 V4 Engine display with pipes that I saw at the Honda Collection Hall in Motegi Japan. I set out to make something similar with some spare engine parts that were damaged but still cosmetically ok. This is an actual NSR250 MC21/28 dry clutch engine. The cases had some damage from a thrown chain but were vapor blasted and cleaned up, the cylinders likewise had some wear and stud damage so were repurposed for this project. There are NO internals and it would not be able to be made to run in the future.”
“The dry clutch side case and cover are good used units and have no mechanical flaws. The pipes are pre-production Tyga units that were used for mock up/jig testing etc and would likely not be suitable for real world use but they look great here (The Tyga standard production pipes look even better!) All of the engine hardware is either new OEM Honda or re-zinced. The engine stand is powder coated and was then custom painted in a mix of the 1992 and 1994 MC21/28 Rothmans liveries. The pipes can easily be removed in a few minutes to make it easier to move or display. I only made two of these and this is the only one I did in the Rothmans colors, I will be keeping the 2nd one.”
Find this engine for sale in Panorama City, California with bidding up to $1,200 here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.
