Post Listing Update: This custom Commando did not meet reserve despite 27 bids up to $8,100. It’s been relisted a few times but bidding has never ended up higher.

Here’s a Mk2 Commando that’s been fettled into a moderate custom – purists won’t like it, but YOU might!

This bike (VIN: 311290) got an engine rebuild from Colorado Norton Works 4,000 miles ago, in addition to a frame check from the Frame Man. Other work includes CNW triple trees with a Lansdowne Engineering damper, Brembo front brake, Mk3 rear brake disc with a Yamaha R6 caliper, Alton starter, Magura hydraulic clutch from a Honda CR250, Corbin seat, Viking exhausts, Amal carbs, Trispark ignition, Excel rims, and plenty more. Note that it has a salvage title, which I would want to clarify with the seller. I assume that happened before the bike was restored, which is why the seller got the frame checked out.
