Post Sale Update: This Hayabusa sold for $4,955 after 28 bids on eBay.

I don’t feature many Hayabusas, but I recently discussed the model in a “Performance Steals” themed Smart Money in the current issue of Motorcyclist, and it got me thinking about how nice they can be. Normally, modified Hayabusas are either lowered show bikes or lengthened drag racers with turbos. This is a rare ‘busa that’s been modified to go around corners better.

This feels like the way I would get a Hayabusa for myself – black paint to minimize the bulbous styling, upgraded suspension (Traxxion Dynamic AK-20 fork cartridges, Penske shock), Corbin seat, V&H exhaust, Givi sidecases, cruise control, heated grips, and 1″ bar risers. Seems like it would make for a sport-tourer that would leave even modern bikes in the dust. The seller states that he’s letting this go as he just picked up a BMW R1250GS Adventure (catch my review of that bike here on ADV Pulse).
