The Honda CBR1000F, also known as the Hurricane, was an excellent sport-tourer that introduced some crucial technology into the Honda lineup. It eventually evolved into the well-known Blackbird. Oh yeah, and it had one of the greatest names in motorcycling history.

No Reserve – 1986 Honda Z50RD Christmas Special
Post Sale Update: sold for $6,800 after 20 bids on eBay in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Considered by some as the ultimate Honda Z50, the “Christmas Special” was a limited edition that officially had the model name of “Z50RD” – the D was for “Dealer”. Honda gave two examples to each of their top dealers, though some called it the …
1962 Harley-Davidson Topper with Sidecar
In its long history, Harley-Davidson has only created one scooter. As you might guess, it was not a commercial success. Harley offered to rare factory options that could be mounted on the side – either a utility box or an adorable sidecar – here’s one with the latter.
No Reserve – 1982 Honda CR80R
Post Sale Update: this CR80R sold for $2,235 after 19 bids on eBay in Powell, Ohio. Honda introduced the CR80R Elsinore in 1980, and it truly looked like a half size 250. The engine was up to snuff, though handling left quite a bit to be desired. So two years later, they added the Pro-Link monoshock, new 31mm air forks, …
Bought on Bike-urious – Never Started – 1970 Indian Velo 500
Two years ago, I featured a very rare Indian Velo that had the distinction of never having been started. The sole photo that the seller supplied suggested that the bodywork had not been well preserved, but thanks to Bike-urious reader Tom W. it’s now a runner!

1992 Yamaha TDM850
The TDM850 was a bit of an oddball that was about 15 years ahead of its time. A pavement-focused dual sport like the Ducati Multistrada or the BMW S1000XR, the TDM gave riders the ability to explore any paved road in comfort with the option to explore fire roads to their heart’s content. Unfortunately, not many riders in the US …
195 Miles – 1979 Honda CX500

Press Release: 2021 Ducati Monster and Monster+
Let’s start with the good news: the new Monster weighs just 416 pounds wet, a ~40 pound reduction from the current model. The 937cc Testastretta motor produces 111 horsepower and a healthy 69 lb-ft of torque (and desmo service intervals are up to 18,600 miles). The bad news: it doesn’t look like a Ducati, does it? Discuss!
