Despite the knobbies and the general appearance, these bikes are very much dual-sporters and not serious off-road threats. The 125 was marketed in Europe as the Trans-City and the 650 was called the Dominator. The latter was only imported to the US in 1988 and 1989, it featured the engine from a XR650L (44 horsepower) with unique plastics and a dry weight of 370 pounds. I’m a big fan of the 650, I bought myself a beater example of the breed to learn how to ride in the dirt with, and it was the first bike that I sold through this site.
