Picture Intermission – Ducati Superleggera V4

While I was at the Volant Vivere track day at Laguna Seca (separate Picture Intermission coming soon for that), I was entranced by a Ducati Superleggera V4 that someone was planning on riding. I didn’t want to include a ton of photos in the separate post so I’m splitting them up for you to admire with me. Come enjoy!

First of all, let it be known that the owner has a sense of humor:

If you’re not familiar with the V4 SL, it was released in 2021 as the ultimate expression of the V4. Ducati hasn’t sold anything as extreme since – $100,000, 234 horsepower, and 336 pounds (dry). It’s probably the closest that one of us can come to a MotoGP bike if you can scratch up the dough.

Production was limited to just 500 numbered units – this was obviously #410.

As if the stock bike wasn’t crazy enough, the owner of this one replaced the original carbon fiber wheels with Thyssenkrupp units and ditched the stock Akra exhaust with a crazy split Zard system that exits under the tail and in between the belly pan/rear wheel:

The requisite dry clutch. Replacing this is $3,700.

There is so much carbon fiber on this bike it’s unbelievable. Check out this hunk that forms the swingarm!

It’s a very cool bike, but the double wings are ridiculous.

There you go, the $100k V4 Superleggera!
