While doing some research on yesterday’s MC5 feature, I found a short piece by KTM on the history of their logo and figured it was worth sharing:

While KTM started as a mechanic’s shop in 1934 (obviously under a different name), their first official logo with the three letters was introduced in 1954 on the tank of their first motorcycle, the R100:

Over the next 65 years, the KTM logo went through 9 revisions, ending with this redesign back in 2003:
