Unexpected Hardtail Custom – 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000

In Custom, Japan by AbhiLeave a Comment

Featuring a custom front end from a 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 and hard tail conversion, this Kawasaki is unlike any other KZ1000 I’ve ever seen.

The seller states that other custom pieces include the bars, grips, levers, tank, Corbin Gunfighter seat, Mikuni BS34 carbs, pegs, wheels, lights, rear tire, and Vance & Hines exhaust. It was “customized with 12,600 miles and has only been ridden a few times since. The odometer is no longer on the bike so the mileage is not certified.”

Additional information from the builder is included – he notes that the motor was rebuilt with a heavy duty cam chain, stainless bolt kit, Barnett heavy-duty clutch, Dyna digital ignition, and Accel coils. The rear swingarm is 3.5″ longer than stock, and it obviously no longer has a suspension. What do you think of this interesting custom?
