Wolfgang Haerter Build – 1972 Laverda SFC Replica

Post Sale Update: This SFC Replica sold for $15,202 after 23 bids.

I’ve featured a few SFC750s in the last couple of weeks, though they’re unfortunately out of the price range of the average rider. That’s what makes this SF2-based SFC replica so appealing – the bidding is “only” in the teens and not over $30k.

Laverda SFC Replica - Engine

This bike (VIN: 16193) started off as a 1974 SF2, and it’s called “a SFC in every respect except the serial numbers.” The bike was commissioned by a previous owner and then imported to the US in 2007, where it won Best in Class at the Ride Into History show and the Palmetto Award at the Hilton Head Concourse d’Elegance.

Highlights of the build include the Smith tach, Ceriani forks, Tomaselli handlebars, and of course, the awesome Marchal lights. The seller acquired the bike in 2013 and has put less than 200 miles on it since. Because there’s no odometer or speedometer, the total mileage of 300 since the rebuild is an estimate.
