Yamaha FZR Collection

Someone in Phoenix is selling off an interesting collection of first generation FZRs – 2 FZR400’s, a FZR600, FZR1000, and even 2 examples of the rare homologation FZR750RU specials.

As the seller notes, Yamaha even shared a photo of his collection two years ago for the 30th anniversary of the series:

The seller does not have much in the way of individual descriptions, but he notes that “these have all original plastics no reproductions. Prices range from $3900 up to $10k for individual purchase or offer me for the whole collection have additional parts bikes not shown.” The stars of the show are obviously the RUs. Built specifically to meet AMA racing homologation rules, the FZR750RU was only made for one year and cost $6,899 – more expensive than even most liter bikes of the time.
