Post Listing Update: This B300 did not meet reserve despite 21 bids up to $3,750 in Wainscott, New York.

Produced between 1954 and 1970, the Gilera B300 (B for Bicilindrico or two cylinders) is a rare find in the US. It was built to be a reliable commuter rather than a performance mount.

The 305cc engine produced 12.5 horsepower and the bike weighed 303 pounds dry when it was introduced, though minor changes over time meant that by the mid 60s you were looking at 15.5 horsepower and a 340 pound dry weight. For more on this Gilera twin, check out this retrospective from Rider magazine.

Gilera made two versions of the B300 – the Normale and the Extra, the differences were with the trim and fenders. This example is the latter, and is believed to be entirely original. Per the seller, “the condition is fantastic, showing a warm all-over patina with signs of use and care throughout.” It’s offered with a Bill of Sale.
