Foreign manufacturers often have to tweak their models to make them more desirable to the massive American market. The classic 500cc twin was bored and stroked to 650cc, leading to an 8hp increase and a bike that was good enough for Marlon Brando.

1966 was the final year for the Thunderbird, and the current owner of this machine was aware of what he had. The listing highlights a numbers matching engine with only 8,639 miles.
