The Moto Guzzi Eldorado was a winning combination of classic good looks, the best selling model MG ever produced. This specific Moto Guzzi Eldorado has been the beneficiary of excellent care over the years. Lots of work had been taken care of by the previous owner – a few notable shops in Arizona took care of the engine and the rolling chassis.

This bike apparently starts right up and runs great. Nearly everything is original, though it does come with a few extras, including Progressive shocks and Police bars. Those police bars help give you an upright position to help with long term comfort. It comes with the original keys, the forks and toolbox are lockable. While it doesn’t come with the siren, it does come with the siren mount which should make wiring it up easy. In addition, it comes with the switches for separate front running lights. Remember, this is not a restoration – and that’s why we like it. It seems to have the perfect amount of patina to show that this bike is almost 30 years old, which makes it all the more enjoyable seeing it on the road.

There are only two oddities that should be mentioned – the handlebar switchgear has been pilfered from a period BMW motorcycle, the owner says they work more reliably, though it’s still an odd modification to make in my book. In addition, the front light bar has been taken from a period Harley Davidson. Tires were recently converted to tubeless, and if you have any doubts about the reliability of this bike, the full set of service records and the seller’s claim that (as long as you cover expenses) he’ll ride out to you anywhere in the continental United States should put your mind at ease. Not bad at all.
