1974 Suzuki TC185 Ranger

In Dual-Sport, Japan by AbhiLeave a Comment

Post Sale Update: This TC185 sold for the BIN of $3,500 on eBay.

In the 70s, Suzuki had a TS185 and a TC185 – the latter stood out with features like a 12V electrical system, ten-speed transmission (5 high, 5 low), and one of the first electric starters available on a dual-sport.

This example (VIN: TC18511662) is being offered by the second owner, who acquired it 15 years ago. The original owner never rode it off-road and decided to let it go when he turned 80 years old so he let it go to the current owner, a museum. The seller claims that this bike is in “9.8+/10” cosmetic condition, though it was been sitting in storage for the last decade and a half. The bike was recently “un-mothballed” with a fuel system flush, new battery + battery tender, transmission oil flush, oil injection tank flush, fork oil lush, and more. It’s said to work just fine but if you want to ride you should replace the tires. The sale includes the OEM (and never used) tool kit.
