Post Sale Update: After being relisted, this MV Agusta 350S sold for $10,500.

The MV Agusta 350S is a classic Italian designed by legendary automotive stylist Giorgio Giugiaro. Nicknamed the Ipotesi (Hypothesis in Italian), it was Giugiaro’s attempt at styling a bike. Ignoring how beautiful it is, it was quite advanced for the time. Triple disc brakes, cast magnesium wheels, and a 10,000 rpm redline made this 350cc bike a treat to ride.

The 350cc was an air-cooled, two-cylinder unit fed by dual Dell’Orto carburetors. Produced only between 1975 and 1977, the 350 was an instant hit after being revealed at the Milan Motorcycle show. The 350S differed itself with the beautiful fairing, a shortened seat, and a shortened tail that was angled slightly upward.

This specific MV Agusta 350S was originally sold in Italy, and was imported to the US in early 2011. Though it has been repainted, it is otherwise original and unrestored. By far the best feature of this bike is the rare factory sport fairing. Recent work is detailed in the listing and is quite comprehensive. The seller deserve kudos for rebuilding the Scarab brakes – the most common flaw with the Ipotesi. It’s a common conversion to switch to Brembos, and we appreciate that the seller has kept it original.

Though not a show bike, this MV Agusta 350S is clearly in great condition, and it won an award in the one show it ever entered. The seller has plenty of media, including photos and videos documenting his bike.
