Post Listing Update: This Super Sport did not meet reserve despite 5 bids up to $2,859 on eBay.

Hopefully you remember this paint scheme from Fast Freddie Spencer when he campaigned the Super Sport in Superbike racing. It’s an understated design that the US only got for two years, after riders demonstrated to Honda that they wanted the big brother to the CB750F, even if we also got the CBX.

The 901cc inline four engine put out 89 horsepower and 56 pound-feet of torque, good for a top speed of about 135 miles per hour. For more on the 900F, check out this profile from Motorcycle Classics.

This example (VIN: JH2SC0100CM104779) has just under 21,400 miles and it looks to be in good original condition. In the last year, this bike has got new tires, brake pads, wheel bearings, sprockets, chain, petcock, rebuilt front forks, and more. The sale includes the owner’s manual, original tool kit, and factory service manual. The seller points out that after 34 years of age, there’s a few minor cosmetic issues but I don’t see a deal breaker, just a bike that’s been used and taken care of.
