Post Sale Update: This Empulse sold for the BIN of $7,999 on eBay.

Before Victory failed in their quest to compete with Harley-Davidson, they had the goal of beating HD to market with an electric motorcycle. They did in fact succeed, licensing some Brammo hardware and pushing them to market back when Scarlett Johansson was the only person who had ever ridden a Livewire. The Victory Empulse TT is most notable for retaining a six speed gearbox, though it is not completely necessary. A 10.4 kw/H battery is good for 52 hp and about 50 miles of range. Top speed is just north is of 100 mph. If you aren’t turned off by the 50 mile range, then a 7-8 charge time shouldn’t be of any concern to you either. Cycle World did a street and track review if you’re interested in the riding dynamics.

A 314 mile 2016 Victory Empulse TT (VIN: 5VPEZBRR4GT000179) is for sale in Minnesota. The Brembo regeneration system is functional, and the bike specific wall socket charger is included. A windscreen is added, and while not an attractive piece, it probably provides much improved ride comfort. The pictures show nothing obvious to complain about for a 300 mile bike. An electric drivetrain has fewer mechanical parts to go wrong, but battery capacity does degrade over time. There comes a time when a man must shrink his collection, and the current owner is letting this bike go for $7,999. Are you guys ready for an electric bike yet? I built one in college and I still haven’t made up my mind on them.
