I’m going to be in Utah for the Bonneville Vintage GP, but this weekend will also offer the 11th edition of the Bull City Rumble, a vintage motorcycle/scooter rally in the vein of Mods vs. Rockers.
The 2015 Gypsy Run
Next weekend (September 11-13) will make way for the 9th Gypsy Run, a ‘traditional run’ on the East Coast inspired by the El Diablo.
Reminder – OddBike Meetup This Saturday
Just a reminder – this Saturday night I’m getting together with Jason of OddBike, Alicia of MotoLady, and hopefully…you!
Commenter of Month Winner – July
Congratulations to Chris W, winner of the Commenter of the Month award for July – he gets the usual $50 Aerostich gift certificate! He was nice enough to share a photo of him on a ride with his beautiful Ducati in the backroads of Colorado, presumably pondering what he’s going to get with this new prize…
2015 Venice Vintage Motorcycle Rally
In one month, one of my favorite motorcycle events in Southern California is happening – the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Rally.
Giveaway Winner – Aerostich Messenger Bag
It feels like many moons ago, but you may remember I announced a giveaway of an Aerostich Waxed Cotton Messenger Bag – review here, the short version is I love it and still use it weekly. Finally, I can announce/share the winner!
Do You Own A Ducati Scrambler?
Do you want to make it cooler? Untitled Motorcycles San Francisco is currently looking for a Scrambler owner who wants to commission a competition-level build that will be submitted at an international contest with the possibility of World Ducati Week in Italy next July.

View PostAuction Preview – Mecum Harrisburg 2015
Oops…I should have posted this earlier but I somehow managed to forget it. Thankfully, reader David N. reminded me that Mecum is having a ~200 motorcycle auction this weekend in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Here are my 5 favorites:
Auction Preview – Greenfield Honda Inventory
On September 6th in Greenfield, Iowa, VanDerBrink Auctions is putting up the entire inventory of Greenfield Honda on the block. There’ll be about 100 motorcycles, nearly all of which are Hondas, as well as all kinds of parts and memorabilia.
Bike-urious T-Shirts – Now in More Sizes!
When I initially announced that I had some extra t-shirts for sale, I had a few readers who were hoping to get shirts in different sizes. Now I’ve got 2XL and 3XL in Men’s, and I’ve added some Women’s shirts, too!
Introducing: The Beater Olympics
We hold these truths to be self-evident: 1. Motorcycles are fun. 2. Motorcycles ain’t cheap. 3. Beater bikes are fun to thrash on. We therefore solemnly publish and declare that the Beater Olympics shall provide you with a chance to compete in oddball events like Tug of War or a Slow Race in a piece of junk bike.
OddBike Los Angeles Meetup
You may remember that Jason of OddBike is doing a tour next month, and that he’ll be spending a day in Los Angeles. Jason decided to host a little get together, and I’m hoping that local readers will come join us!
Auction Preview – Mecum Monterey 2015
On August 13-15, Mecum will be auctioning off over 300 cars and sadly, just 5 bikes. Let’s take a look at the latter.
Now for Sale: “Are you Bike-urious?” T-shirts
I was pleasantly surprised to hear from several readers (and strangers) that they wanted a t-shirt like the one I wore on Jay Leno’s Garage.
