If you’re looking at the number of championships and individual race wins, Carl “Foggy” Fogarty is the most successful racer to ever rule in World Superbike. In 2002, Italy’s most famous motorcycling firm released the Ducati Monster S4 Fogarty Edition, to honor Foggy himself. Today I’ve got a reasonably priced example of this 1 of 300 limited edition Monster.
1974 Laverda 750 SF2 Custom
The Laverda 750 SF2 was not particularly impressive on paper: just 65 horsepower out of 744cc at a time when the “Superbike” category was getting into full swing. But it’s an attractive bike – some think it’s better looking than its bigger brother triple.
2008 Ducati Desmosedici D16RR
The Ducati Desmosedici D16RR might just be the greatest sportbike to ever come out of Italy. The RR stands for Racing Replica, and it was a limited production (just 1,500 examples) version of the Desmo MotoGP racebike piloted by Casey Stoner in the world’s greatest motorcycle race series.

1999 Cagiva Gran Canyon
Cagiva is an interesting phenomena in the states – they sold poorly, they’ve withdrawn on the US market so dealer support is basically non-existent, and even though they sourced Ducati engines, they never really made the kind of power you’d expect them to. Yet there’s something about these bikes that a niche group of riders finds irresistible, and owners are …
3 Little Italians
Someone seems to be parting out their collection, and is offering a bundle of three little Italians. Read on to get more details on each one.
1971 Moto Guzzi Ambassador
Here’s a numbers-matching Ambassador with just 7,000 miles that’s still rocking the original paint. Everything is claimed to work great and the seller suggests that the bike would be a reliable daily driver. It’d also be a damn stylish one, with Wixom bags that are in great shape. Find this Ambassador for sale in Goochland, Virginia for $4,900 here on …
1975 Moto Guzzi 850T Super Sport
Here’s a Moto Guzzi 850T Super Sport that’s got fresh paint and some new bodywork to complement some sporty modifications. Some basic numbers: 68 horsepower, 535 pounds, and a top speed of around 120 miles per hour. For more information (and a tale on what it’s like to live with these on a daily basis), head over to Motorcycle Classics. …
1998 Cagiva Mito 125
Post Listing Update: This Mito did not meet reserve despite 14 bids up to $3,250 on eBay. Ever wanted the looks of Ducati’s beautiful 916 but with a much, much tinier engine? Here’s your chance, thanks to the rare-in-the-US Cagiva Mito 125.
1 of 300 – 2015 MV Agusta F3 800 Ago
Post-Listing Update: This F3 Ago did not get any action at the opening bid of $24,598. A limited run of the newest F3, the “Ago” is signed by Agostini himself on the tank. Just 300 will be sold, and the differences are pretty much just cosmetic, though it is 5 pounds lighter than the base bike thanks to forged OZ …
1971 Ducati Silver Shotgun
Thanks to its distinctive silver metal flake fiberglass bodywork, Two Wheels called this the Desmo Mark 3 the Ducati Silver Shotgun. It’s one of the rarest desmo singles and it’s quite visually stunning.
926cc – 1995 Ducati 916 Custom
Here’s an impressively modified Ducati 916 that was modified with plenty of top-notch period parts.
Plated 50cc – 2003 Aprilia RS50
The Aprilia RS50 is pretty much as good as it gets with 50cc “supersports”. The styling has always aped the styling of its liter-bike bigger brother, but the proportions can look a bit off because of that: Still, the 49cc two-stroke engine is powerful enough to get the bike up to about 65 mph once it’s been derestricted, and today …
The First Ducati – 1949 Ducati Cucciolo
The first motorcycle model ever released by the Italian firm, the Ducati Cucciolo was introduced in March 1946 out of the Borgo Panigale factory. One year later they were winning races with Glauco Zitelli at the helm, and a year after that the Cucciolo was being imported into the US.
Restored – 1997 Ducati 916
The Ducati 916 needs no introduction, but I’ve always considered it to be a bit of a revelation.
