Post-Listing Update: After getting no action at the opening bid of $34,000, this bike was relisted and again got no interest at $30,000. This is obviously an incredible bike, but it looks like no one’s interested at these kind of prices. A couple of years ago, Walt Siegl started building a limited run of custom motorcycles based on Ducati 900cc …
Hershey’s Promo – 2008 MV Agusta F4
In the recent Batman trilogy with Christian Bale, my favorite movie was the second – The Dark Knight. MV Agusta had a promotional deal that included some screen time for their F4 superbike in that movie, and for some reason Hershey’s Chocolate ran a promotion with a special grand prize: a Dark Knight-themed F4 valued at $35,000.

View Post1 of 207 – 1988 Ducati 851 Tricolore
Ducati released the 851 to the world in 1987, and it was the introduction of four valve Desmo heads. It made Ducati a competitive race team again (they’d end up winning the 1990 World SBK Championship with this model). For homologation purposes, they released 207 “kit” versions of the Tricolore, some of which were converted to be street legal – …
Rare Fairing – 1971 Moto Guzzi Ambassador Project
I normally wouldn’t be terribly excited to feature an Ambo project, but the fairing on this bike is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The seller can’t identify it beyond saying it’s a “very rare fairing that was made for early Guzzi’s.” Do any of you know who made this fairing that looks like it contains rocket launchers?
Ending Soon – 2 1980s Moto Guzzis
A dealer in Henrietta, Texas has two cool red Guzzis from an estate sale – a CX100 and a Le Mans Mk 4!
1 of 5 – Radical Guzzi Ristretto
My German is non-existent, so I’m depending a lot on Google Translate here. But let’s start with what I do know something about – Radical Guzzi, a shop that’s has made quite a name for themselves with custom MG builds. Looks like they’re building a line of 5 bikes called Ristretto – they’ve already sold 3 of 5 and now …

View PostAlready Customized – 2015 Ducati Scrambler
Current MSRP for a base model Scrambler is about $8,500. Lots of riders enjoy buying a bike new so they know the history, but if you’re willing to grab one that’s been used a little bit, you can have an example that’s already been well modified with an outlay of cash – shame about the mismatched yellow on the custom …

View PostNeeds Work in Italy – 1957 Aermacchi Chimera 175
The Chimera was a bit ahead of its time – despite rarely seen features (for the time) like a single rear shock and the futuristic styling, Aermacchi was only able to sell 119 examples of the 175cc variant and 177 examples of the 250cc. Here’s an example of the former that will unfortunately need some work before it hits the …
1 of 50 – 2015 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer Verde Legnano
Post Listing Update: This rare Guzzi did not meet reserve despite 12 bids up to $7,088. I just featured one of these a month ago, but with only 50 made, I figure it’s worth sharing another one now. In 1971, Guzzi introduced the instant-classic V7 Sport, and they made the first 150 models extra special with green bodywork and red …
1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport
Post Listing Update: This V7 Sport did not meet reserve despite 18 bids up to $12,099. My favorite Guzzi in my favorite paint scheme – this bike can’t go wrong! Built specifically by Lino Tonti to honor Guzzi’s racing legacy, the V7 Sport is considered by some to be the prettiest production cafe to come out of any factory.
2 Miles – 1958 Capriolo TV 75
Capriolo started producing motorcycles in 1948 in a small town in Northern Italy. They lasted until 1964, at which point Laverda bought them up. Though the company is not well known anymore, this TV 75cc was a high-quality runabout powered by a four-stroke, overhead cam engine with a high compression ratio with Aprilia electrics to round things up.
1986 Bimota DB1 Custom Track Bike
Post Listing Update: Bidding stalled at $20,000 and this Bimota did not meet reserve. 2-19-16 Update: 18 months later, this cool racer is back up for sale. Find it with an unmet opening bid of $16,000 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada here on eBay. I’ve featured a stock Bimota DB1 before, but today’s example is on the opposite end of the …
