Replacing the WR, the Harley-Davidson KR was the American firm’s last flathead. It was a successful racer for nearly two decades, though less than 500 were built over 15 years.

1969 Honda CL70
Here’s a very pretty example of the Honda CL70 with 3,345 miles. The seller suggests it’s near museum quality and that it has a new piston and cylinder. Everything works without issues and there’s only minor flaws: a small rip in the seat and a crack in the left side engine cover. Find this CL70 (VIN: CL70108136) for sale in …
1972 Norton 750 Commando Combat
Norton Commando fans know that 1972 was a bad year for the motorcycle. The British firm introduced an upgraded engine, designated Combat. Unfortunately, the bearings would often self-destruct, rendering the engine useless.
Dealer Display – 1975 Suzuki RE5
Suzuki called the RE5 the future of motorcycling, thanks to its innovative rotary engine and distinctive styling. This is the ’75 model, which had more interesting design characteristics like the ‘tin can’ instrument cluster. The ’76 (and final model) was a little neutered in an attempt to make the bike more conventional.
1958 Ariel Cyclone
A 650cc high-compression variant of the Huntmaster, the Ariel Cyclone was a very rare bike. It seems that the list of documented Cyclones is 174 over two years of production. Ariel called it their “Super Sports Twin”, thanks to a 40 horsepower engine that was an option on the Huntmaster.
1970 Yamaha HS1
A tiny ‘sport’ bike that incorporated Yamaha’s Autolube system, the HS1 was a 90cc twin with a 5-speed transmission. It produced 10.3 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and weighed just 196 pounds. This specific Yamaha HS1 was restored in 1997 and was featured in Old Bike magazine in 1998. Documentation of the restoration is available. Find it for sale for $4,000 …
1973 Benelli Tornado 650S
Post Listing Update: This Tornado was relisted a couple of times, but bidding never got higher than $3,975 and the reserve was not met. Benelli is one of the very few motorcycle companies that has been around for over 100 years. An Italian firm (though it’s got more of a Chinese flavor nowadays) that has a great history in small …
2 Miles – 1983 Kawasaki KE100
A diminutive dual-sport produced for 25 years, the Kawasaki KE100 was an evolution of the G5. I can’t argue that there’s anything tremendously special about the KE100 versus the competition, however this example is worth featuring as it’s a 32 year old bike with…1.8 miles. With the exception of the tires and battery, it’s claimed to be original. Find it …
1998 Ducati 996RS Factory Racer
One of the 24 RS bikes built by Ducati in 1998, this is claimed to be the rarest as it still has a analog dashboard and the 916 frame color. I apologize in advance – I don’t know enough about the RS bikes to verify if that’s true or not. The story is that this bike was sold to Dolomiti …
Fully Restored – 1971 Suzuki Stinger
The Suzuki T125 Stinger was a 125cc bike with a great name and looks to die for. As teenagers of the time remember, this little screaming two-stroke twin-cylinder was the most exciting 125 bike of the time.
Well Upgraded – 1978 Suzuki GS1000E
Post-Listing Update: This GS1000E did not meet reserve with bidding up to $3,350 on eBay. Considered by some to be the best 1000cc four-cylinder of its time, the GS1000 was based on the 750 but had many improvements – Cycle magazine called this bike the “best handling multi of all.” This example takes it even further with plenty of suspension …
Smoke Silver – 1974 BMW R90S
Post Sale Update: This R90S sold for $11,500 after 15 bids on eBay. I adore the BMW R90S, which was a game-changer when it was released to the world. With oversight from Hans Muth, this bike was built to show the world that BMW could make more than just touring bikes for old guys. Reg Pridmore helped soldify that claim …
1974 Penton Berkshire 100
After John Penton and KTM started their relationship with the 125 ISDT Six Days, the two companies expanded their relationship to cover multiple displacements. The Penton Berkshire was the smallest at 100cc.

Here’s a Knucklehead that was turned into a bobber by Carl’s Cycle Supply, renowned experts who have built award winning Knuckleheads and Panheads. The bike had originally been restored into a 97 point AMCA competitor, then turned into the bobber you see in front of you.
