Looks like Heroes Motorcycles has performed a full restoration on what’s claimed to have been a factory racer Henderson Four. Not much information is given, but it’s powered by a 1,100 cc (67 cubic inch) engine. Wish there was more documentation of the restoration given, but I’m pretty much featuring this for the shock value of the sticker price.
1973 Honda CR750
Compare this to the previous post of a CB750 chopper – talk about two different ways a bike can be modified! After Honda’s victory at the 1970 Daytona 200, they sold 200 race kits that would turn a CB750 into a CR750 racer. Those kits cost $10,000 back in the day, which would roughly equate to $61,000 now.
1967 Aermacchi 350 Road Racer
6-5 Update: This bike is back up for sale with a much more reasonable BIN of $9,900 here on eBay. Post-Listing Update: This Aermacchi did not get any love at $13,900. The Aermacchi 350 Sprint was part of a joint venture with Harley-Davidson, created when H-D bought 50% of Aermacchi to help them compete in the small bike market. Originally …
1941 Indian 741 Flat Tracker
The Indian Scout 741 was used by the US Army, though the 500cc V-Twin was never good enough to beat out Harley’s WLA as the Army’s bike of choice. Instead it was used primarily by couriers and scouts. Here’s one that has shed its’ military background in the process of becoming a flat track racer.

View PostWho Wants Dirt? 2004 Yamaha YZ450F Road Racer
With an engine tuned by Woody Kyle Racing, this YZ450F puts down 59 horsepower and has been converted into a road racer thanks to a WR450F transmission, Jardine titanium exhaust, and the front end from a CBR600F3.

View PostNew In Box – 2006 Harley-Davidson VRXSE V-Rod Destroyer
A drag bike straight from the factory, the Harley-Davidson VRXSE was an in-house bike created by the Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) department of H-D. With a skilled rider, one could knock-out ETs between 8 and 10 seconds right off the lot. This example is still in the box – does that mean it’s only suited for a museum?
Is it Real? 1965 Kawasaki KR125 Factory Racer
Alright, knowledgeable readers – is this real? I don’t know, but I’m hoping one of you will. Claimed to be 1 of 6 factory race bikes built between 1965 and 1966, this Kawasaki KR125 is claimed to be a numbers matching, unrestored, mint condition bike. I can barely find any information on the KR125 – someone help me out? Find …
9 Second KZ – 1979 Kawasaki KZ1000 Drag Racer
I realize the market for drag bikes is not a big one, but here’s something to mix things up a bit. The engine has V&H heads and has been bored out to 1,428cc – this in combination with a backcut transmission, Dyna race ignition, racing cams, and a whole lot more has enabled this bike to run a 9.93 at …
Custom Drag Bike – 1973 Triumph Hurricane X-75
The Triumph Hurricane has got quite a story – check out this write-up on Motorcycle Classics for a lot of the details which might explain why these bikes are so damn expensive now. But this one stands out even more as it was the personal drag bike of DT Howard, known for running a motorcycle shop, holding a drag race …
In Belgium – 1904 Peugeot Type D Racer
An interesting example of the transition between powered bicycles and motorcycles, this Peugeot Type D Racer is claimed to be one of two known to exist. Fair warning – I couldn’t find much on these bikes so I’m taking the seller (a motorcycle dealership in Belgium called HD-Classic) at face value here.
Dunstall Dominator Replica – 1966 Norton Atlas 750
4-1-15 Update: This ‘Dunstall Dominator’ replica is up for sale again, this time with a BIN of $15,000 or best offer here on eBay. Post-Listing Update: This bike did not meet reserve at $12,850. In the early 1960s, Norton factory racers were called Domiracers. Here’s a Norton Atlas that’s been loaded with every possible period Dunstall bit to look just …
