Post Sale Update: This Eldo sold for $9,000 after 15 bids on eBay in Centerport, New York.
The seller of this bike used to work at Cycle Garden, and while he was there he restored this ex-police bike. “Through the years I collected all the original parts to restore it to its Police original. Some parts were replaced since this was a complete restoration for NOS parts that were an upgrade to the bike. The bike was built the way all bikes that leave Cycle Garden are built mechanically and restored to reflect the police bike it was. It was broken and retorqued like all the bikes before they leave shop after restoration.”
The seller provides a long list of work that was performed, including a 950cc big bore kit, 30mm carbs, a repaint rated as 8.5/10, and all the police parts. The bike had approximately 28,000 miles when the work was done, now it has 2,955. The sale includes several spares, such as a tank that will need to be restored, tool boxes, side covers, CHP seat, police “ride off” stand, as well as the police rack and bags.
