Ex-Record Holder – 24.93′ Long Custom

In 1995, three Australians came together to build a show for “The Crazy Car Show”, and their goal was to set a Guiness World Record for the world’s longest motorcycle. They succeeded, and ended up holding the record between 1999 and 2001. Their creation (nicknamed “Road Hog”) is now going to be up for auction in the Land Down Under.

Calling this a motorcycle is a stretch, but I found it funny nonetheless so I’m sharing it with you. It utilizes three Jaguar V12 engines with starters that have been synchronized, and the 36 cylinders are claimed to make “in excess of 1,000 horsepower.” That’s helpful, seeing as Road Hog weighs approximately 2 tons.

A “normal” motorcycle for scale.

The auction house (Yarra Auctions) doesn’t have a great link for more information on the bike yet, but you can check out a few more photos and get scheduling information for the auction here on this Facebook post.
