A few years ago I met the guys over at TFLBike at a press launch (I think it was for the Yamaha XSR900, a bike that I really enjoyed). They actually ended up buying a Honda Motocompo on the Iconic Motorbikes auction site and creating a video on it. Now we’re working with them again, this time for a charity auction to raise funds for the Motorcycle Relief Project!
From a technical standpoint, the Dax is quite similar to the rest of Honda’s miniMOTO platform like the Grom and Trail 125 – more so the latter as it also utilizes a four-speed semi-automatic transmission with no clutch. It should remind you of the Trail 70, a point made in this video from TFL where they turn the Dax into a “Proper Trail 70 Successor”:
They then took the Dax along with a Trail 70 to Moab for some adventuring:
Now, they’re auctioning off that very Dax (which has an aftermarket front fender, Shinko Mobber off-road tires, and an OEM Honda rear rack) for a good cause – the Motorcycle Relief Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides relief to veterans and first responders with PTSD and other related issues by taking them on structured week-long adventure motorcycle relief rides.
Find this Dax for sale in Boulder, Colorado with bidding up to $3,100 and the reserve not yet met (but it’s getting close!) here on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.
