In 2005, KTM had three different versions of two-stroke options in their EXC lineup – the 200, 250, and 300. Here’s one of the middle options (Goldilocks would be proud) that stands out because it’s never been ridden in its 2+ decades of existence!
The 250 (249cc if you’re particular) utilizes an adjustable power valve system with three different color-coded springs that can be swapped out to change how fast the ports open. It runs on 60:1 pre-mix and is paired with a five-speed transmission. Adjustable WP suspension is equipped front and rear and the entire package weighs 224 pounds with an empty tank.
The seller of this example doesn’t have much to say beyond “brand new, never rode!” I’ll be curious to know if the next owner keeps it on display or decides to get it dirty for the first time…
