Post Sale Update: This R90/6 sold for $4,550 after 9 bids on eBay in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Here’s an original paint /6 that’s recently come out of “a long hibernation.”
The odometer shows 32,256 miles and the seller suggests that it’s probably accurate considering the overall condition of the bike – he can’t be sure as he bought it (along with a few others) from the owner’s family after the owner had passed away. The seller and a friend changed the fluids, flushed the tank, installed a battery, and cleaned the carbs, and the bike “fired up relatively easily and ran great, like it was happy to be back alive.” There’s a few pieces that are missing- the sidecovers, the seat lock/latch, and the tang you use to flip down the center stand, but it looks like this wouldn’t take much work to turn into a classic rider and it’s offered with no reserve so we’ll see what the market thinks it’s worth.
