Post Sale Update: This VFR sold for $7,276 after 42 bids on Iconic Motorbike Auctions.

In 2007, Honda celebrated the 25th Anniversary of their venerable sport tourer with a special red/white/blue paint job. I always maintained this paint scheme looked amazing, though the stock black wheels were a mistake…they should have been white! But this one’s got gold powdercoated wheels that have me doubting myself because they look great, too. This bike’s being sold by the original owner and it has just 963 miles – hopefully the next owner changes that number dramatically!

This sixth generation of the VFR had a lengthy run and it introduced some changes: linked brakes, optional ABS, optional hard luggage, and VTEC, Honda’s variable valve timing technology that opens up extra valves at higher RPMs. With that said, the 6th gen lost gear driven cams and gained some weight – there’s continuous debates on the VFR forums about if the 5th or 6th gen is a better bike.

Manufactured in November of 2006, this example is VIN: JH2RC46627M900636, Engine #: RC46E-2901377. The seller purchased it new from Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda in May of 2011 – the sale includes copies of the Retail Installment Contract and the Bill of Sale. The odometer shows 963 miles and it’s still on the original Bridgestone Battlax BT020 tires. Modifications are limited to the gold wheels, Helibars, and a battery tender lead. It fires right up and it looks great – I just wish it came with the factory optional color-matched luggage as well.
