In America, Custom by Abhi3 Comments

Normally I feature bikes for sale, but today I get to feature something you can ride your bike in – if you have the guts. Also known as a silodrome, the ‘wall of death’ was a famous carnival sideshow where riders would circle the interior of a cylinder, pressed against the edge thanks to friction and gravity. The seller says …

Video Intermission – Oops

In Intermissions by Abhi1 Comment

In September 2013, Michael Henao decided to ignore a flash flood warning in Colorado, and it resulted in a video worth looking (and laughing at). On one hand, I feel bad for him. On the other hand, what was he thinking? Hindsight is 20/20 so it’s easy for me to say this was foolish, but at least it resulted in …

Post Sale Update: This Laverda RGS sold for $11,601 after 6 bids on eBay. Some felt that the engine lost a bit of character in …

Turbo Tourer – 1985 BMW K100RT

In Germany, Touring by Abhi2 Comments

Now you can tell people the “T” in RT stands for Turbo. Unfortunately, this bike needs a new clutch – but the asking price is less than what the turbo must have cost to put on, so I’m thinking this is an excellent winter project for someone in New England.

In Italy, Sport by Abhi2 Comments

The SB6 was Bimota’s best selling bike – the R was even cooler thanks to upgraded specifications. The seller says this bike has had $65,000 invested into it, $35,000 of which was presumably the crazy-expensive original MSRP of this motorcycle when it was sold.
