One of the things I’ve been complaining about over the last few years is how Ducati and MV Agusta have ruined what I think of when I hear “special edition.” Ducati in particular used to make sure that if they made a special edition bike, it came with top-notch components (and usually engine work) to complement whatever livery they wanted to bestow on a machine. Now it just feels like they’re slapping paint jobs on everything and charging 2x or more. With that in mind, check out their new Collezione 100, or as they put it: “a century of Ducati history, expressed through 10 extraordinary creations.”
I’m not trying to be too much of a hater as there’s a couple here that I like but I’ve got to say that Ducati has done a better job that anyone else right now in terms of figuring out how to extract money from their very passionate fan base. I just end up seeing a lot of these types of bikes now (like the World Championship Replicas) a few months/years later where people are trying to flip them and it does not work out well.
I will say that it’s cool each bike comes with a matching jacket and helmet, along with some corresponding art pieces. This must have been a super fun project for Ducati employees to work on!

If you had to pick one, which would it be? I don’t think the livery on the Pantah gets enough love so it’s cool to see what they did with the Multistrada but I think my favorite is the Panigale V4 S with the “Imola Desmo” livery:
