Big news for two-stroke fans – after more than 20 years of hiatus, Kawasaki is offering a two-stroke engine displacing more than 250cc. Meet the 2027 Kawasaki KX327!

There are two versions: the KX327 motocross bike and the KX327X which is more of a “cross-country” machine though it does not have factory lighting.

The highlights:
– 327cc Fuel-Injected, Liquid-Cooled 2-Stroke Engine
– Electric Start
– Hydraulic Clutch
– Power Modes
– Smartphone Connectivity Via RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2*
– Lightweight Aluminum Perimeter Frame
– Factory-Style Suspension and Brakes
– Adjustable Ergonomics
– Athletic Styling with Slim Ergonomic Bodywork
– Essential Cross-Country Equipment (KX327X Model)

Both bikes will be available in late 2026 in “Lime Green.” Pricing is $9,099 for the KX327 and $9,699 for the KX327X, which gets 21″/18″ wheels, hand guards, 2.25 gallon fuel tank, skid plate, side stand, different suspension, and a few other goodies.

Check out the website for more details (KX327 website, KX327X website), though it looks like we’re going to have to wait for reviewers to get these on dynos to learn what the output will be. Now I just need them to make a little roadracing frame for this motor…

What do you guys think? Anyone looking to add one of these to their garage now?
