Post Listing Update: This custom Sportster did not get any interest at the BIN of $13,500.

Roland Sands originally built this particular Harley-based tracker for LynZ Pastrana, wife of MX legend Travis Pastrana. Sands started the build with a 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200C that was stripped down and mechanically overhauled before going on to receive an RSD Vintage Softtail tank and a (fiberglass) Storz Performance Dirt Tracker tail. Other noteworthy elements of the RSD tracker include a one-off swing-arm paired with a Progressive monoshock, RaceTech front-end internals, RSD prototype foot controls, a light-weight, chromoly sub-frame, and a few dozen aftermarket components from RSD as well as a bevy of other outfits.

LynZ had supposedly requested the bike wear a purple livery, so Sands turned to Chris Wood of Airtrix to lay down a plaid purple scheme, plus the bike also had a number of areas anodized or powder-coated. There are so many minor details worth mentioning that it’s hard to do this build justice in just a paragraph or two, so I recommend checking out the full build sheet for more info.

Upon this build’s completion, it was featured in multiple episodes of Pastrana’s “On Pace” (RedBull-sponsored) Youtube show, and appeared on season 4 of the Velocity Channel’s “CafeRacer TV”. With so many stock components replaced by lightweight aftermarket parts, this one-off Sportster is now markedly lighter than it was when it left the factory in Milwaukee, and certainly boasts superior performance. While the livery probably isn’t for everyone, this is a full-on bespoke build from one of the most legendary names in the customs scene. You’d be hard-pressed to piece together a better tracker than the Super Hooligan himself.
