Video Intermission – MV Agusta in 2018

I just spent some time in Italy to try out the MV Agusta Brutale 800RR (story coming soon to Cycle News), and one of the revelations was how MV is going to be using technology going forward to streamline development, marketing, and sales support.

As a premium Italian manufacturer, they made a big deal to me of specifying that “It’s not technology guiding our hands, but our hands guiding technology“. It was an interesting discussion because it was the first time MV had hosted the press since 2016. Here’s their “corporate video” for 2018, which doesn’t tell you much but it looks cool, and that’s worth something. The video shows RVS #1 – RVS stands for Reparto Veicoli Speciali, and it’s MV’s in-house customization program. The plan is to create one-off specials that are limited to production runs of 100 a year. #2 is coming soon, and according to CEO Giovanni Castiglioni it’s “something completely different”.
