Post-Sale Update: After being relisted, Wabi-Sabi sold for $7,001.

The creation of Illinois-based Powder Monkees (not related to Wrenchmonkees), the Wabi-Sabi is a cafe racer “designed to celebrate the fusion of classic vintage styles, modern minimalism, and the natural beauty found within the imperfections of hand-crafted objects.” I see it as a good-looking (and very black) example of a custom Honda CB750K.

Discovered as a neglected ‘barn find’, this bike was torn down to the bare frame and brought back to life over a 9 month period. Notable aspects include an ostrich leather hand-crafted seat, a rewired electrical system with modern gauges, and rebuilt/lowered forks with custom/raised coil-overs, giving the bike a slightly hunched stance. For more on the bike, head on over directly to the Powder Monkees page on Wabi-Sabi.
