The Paul Smart is one of those bikes that always gets me to do a triple take when I see it in person. Inspired by Ducati’s 70s race bikes – especially the one Paul Smart won the 1972 Imola 200 with – this gorgeous motorcycle was limited to a production run of 2,000 models. They’re a bit of a torture rack, but I don’t think that’ll matter with this example as it has just 2 miles on it.
The Paul Smart features a 992cc desmodromic twin engine that produced 92 horsepower. Harkening to the Ducati 750 Imola Desmo race bike, it features the beautiful bubble style half fairing and the green frame, paired with the typical Brembo brakes and Ohlins suspension that you’d expect from a special Ducati.
The seller of this example says that it’s never been sat on, let alone ridden. The asking price is the highest I’ve seen but this is also probably the nicest example I’ve seen, too. It’s got a Termignoni exhaust and the seller states that the OEM parts, manuals, and paperwork are included in the sale.
