2002 Aprilia Tuono Limited

The Aprilia Tuono is a motorcycling legend now, but it was rolled out in many small stages. It started as as a limited run of a Streetfighter kit for the Falco in 2001, and the following year Aprilia officially created the Tuono (officially called the Tuono Mille RSV-R Limited) with 135 built in the first run and then an unknown amount (roughly another 100 in a second run). Soon after, Aprilia would create the base model Tuono and the Tuono Racing, and the rest is history – Aprilia’s just announced a new generation of the Tuono V4 and I’ll be getting some time on the new Tuono 660 later this month!

But back to the Limited – it kept the full-power RSV-R engine and was upgraded with Ohlins suspension front and rear plus a damper, OZ lightweight wheels, carbon fiber bodywork, Matte Diablo black paint on the tank, an exclusive gold frame/swingarm color, Aprilia Racing exhaust with EPROM chip, model-specific seats, and frame sliders.

This example is #188, though the seller doesn’t show the number on the top triple in his/her limited photos. It’s got roughly 34k miles and has additional extras: Gianneli sli-pon exhaust, EBC brake pads, and a Barnett clutch. The sale includes the stock exhaust and an additional fuel tank with pump.

Find this Tuono Limited for sale in Laguna Hills, California for $7,500 here on Craigslist.
