No, it’s not restored. The seller of this bike says that it has 950 “original verified miles” and it sure looks the part thanks to an extended stay at a dealership.
It’s a surprising story in that the original owner brought it in for service at a BMW dealership in the San Fernando Valley (Southern California) and never came back for it! The dealership just kept the bike on display for decades until it was “finally put back on the road this year.” While the seller says this bike hasn’t been “rebuilt”, he does note that a “full motor overhaul” has been done and there was lots of work performed to make the bike road worthy again.
