Post Sale Update: this ZRX sold for $5,029 on IMA in Brooklyn, New York.

Built as a tribute to the KZ1000 piloted by Eddie Lawson while winning the 1981 and 1982 AMA Superbike titles, the ZRX series is a muscle-car version of the UJM. This low-mileage example is adorned in the less common pairing of Candy Lightning Blue/Galaxy Silver and it’s well-modified for someone who wants a little extra pep.

This example (VIN: JKAZR9A173A026709) is on offer from the second owner with 6,833 miles. The modifications include Ohlins shocks, Tsukugi full stainless steel exhaust with carbon fiber can, Galfer stainless steel front/rear brake + clutch lines and Race Tech compression + rebound kit w/ 1.0 kg springs in forks, Greg Couch fork brace and ELS fork guards, Striker rearsets, Samco coolant lines, Ivan’s Performance jet kit, BEET crankcase breather cover, Muzzy block off plates, APE super pro air filters, Greg Couch rear caliper hanger + rear torque arm, Woodcraft stand spools, Raybrig headlight, and Zero Gravity windscreen. The sale includes all stock parts except for the fork internals, exhaust can, and wear items. The sale also includes some ZRX proprietary tools and some brand new parts that were never installed, including a tip over sensor, float bowl gauge, and a tensioner tamer from ZRX specialist Pete “KWICK” Aronson, and a custom oil line from Greg Couch.
