Post Listing Update: This Trident did not meet reserve despite 16 bids up to $8,100 on eBay in Mauldin, South Carolina. Adorned with all sorts of period upgrades, this Triumph Trident has plenty of go to match the show – but it is a style of show that you like?
¡Iberian Espectacular! – Day 8
View PostNo Reserve – 1993 Suzuki GSX-R600
Post Sale Update: This Gixxer sold for $4,850 after 66 bids on eBay in Joppa, Maryland. After impressing motorcycle buyers with the 750 and 1100 GSX-Rs, Suzuki introduced a 600 in 1992. It had the same frame and plastics as the 750cc but the engine was watercooled. The bike was carried over unchanged for 1993, except for the graphics.
¡Iberian Espectacular! – Day 7
June 8th, 2018 – Portimão, Portugal to Lisbon, Portugal: ~180 miles Vy and I go to the end of the world.

Another week, another giveaway on the auction site! Last week we gave away a wonderful Nicky Hayden print, but this time we’re going three times as big with some Mick Doohan posters! I don’t think it was crystal clear last time so I’ll emphasize it here: YOU CAN ONLY WIN IF YOU LEAVE A COMMENT ON THE AUCTION SITE Here’s …
2008 Benelli Tre-K 1130
Post Listing Update: This Tre-K did not get any interest at the opening bid of $6,900 on eBay. On my way out to Florida to attempt the Coast to Coast in 50 Hour Challenge, I spent Day 4 with Bike-urious reader Rusty M. He’s got a wonderful collection of motorcycles in Tennessee, though it looks like it’s about to get …
1973 Bultaco Alpina 250
Post Sale Update: This Alpina sold for $2,766 after 28 bids on eBay, however the winner was a no-show. The bike was relisted for a BIN of $2,700, and it sold at that number. After the success of the Sherpa T, Bultaco released the Alpina 250, a bike specifically built for enduro riders.
Picture Intermission – Lambretta Club in Madrid
When Vy and I stopped in Madrid on our Iberian trip, we encountered a Lambretta club in our hotel. Want to see what they were riding?
2004 Aprilia RSV1000R Factory
Post Sale Update: This RSV-R Factory sold for $6,300 on Iconic Motorbike Auctions in Marina del Rey, California. Aprilia updated their liter bike in 2004 with the RSV1000R, and it was perfect for riders who demanded a rare, street-legal track weapon. A “Factory” version was also available, and it stood out with carbon fiber bodywork, fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, and …
2014 Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer
Post Sale Update: This Commando sold for $16,000 after 19 bids on eBay in Scottsdale, Arizona. Norton has been in the news plenty as of late, but not for good reasons. The most recent headlines have covered its takeover by the Indian brand TVS. But there’s still a few leftovers from the recently failed rebirth, and owners are going to …
No Reserve – 1967 Sears Allstate Puch 250 Twingle
Post Sale Update: This Twingle sold for $1,420 after 25 bids on eBay in Onsted, Michigan. In 1967, Puch updated the styling of their 250 Twingle (two pistons share one combustion chamber). It lost some curves but gained some color, and the distinctive drivetrain was left alone. I’ve featured a couple of these in the past and they never seem …
Picture Intermission – E Hayes and Sons Limited Motoworks Collection
There are a few Corvair-powered motorcycles out there, including this one I featured back in 2015. Better-known examples include Norm Grabowski’s Six Pack, Tom McMullen’s Corvair Trike, and Wild Bill Gelbke’s Grasshopper. But the one featured here looks like it’d be the most road-friendly and it’s currently located at the E Hayes and Sons Limited Motoworks Collection.
1996 Honda RVF400
The RVF400 is not well known in the US as it was never officially sold outside of the Japan. But for people in the know that are lucky enough to get their hands on one, this Honda (also known as the NC35) is one of the best 400cc sportbikes ever made.
1997 Honda VFR750F
“For many, bike journalists included, the Honda VFR750 is the best road bike ever built.” MCN didn’t mince words when it came to their praise of the VFR – it’s one thing for a journo to be excited about a bike for a few hours for a first ride, but this is the kind of machine that people love to …
300cc Swap – 2014 Honda Grom
Like the Grom but think it needs some more oomph? Thanks to the engine out of a 2016 Honda CB300F, this one will now top 100 miles per hour.
